About This Lesson
Democracy Class is Rock the Vote’s free, nonpartisan civic education curriculum that equips high school students with the knowledge and skills they need to participate in democracy.
Through interactive, one-period lessons, students are given the tools and knowledge they need to become voters, recognize the power that comes with civic participation, and navigate today’s complex information landscape.
Lesson 2: Not Just Every Four Years teaches students the importance of voting in local and state elections and highlights how state laws affect voter participation as well as how students can engage in shaping their communities.
