About This Lesson

Students watch a video clip on how mountains are formed by convergent plate boundaries. They then brainstorm the different landforms that are created with each type of plate boundary. Students then use a variety of maps and data (earthquakes, volcanoes, age of the sea floor, and elevation) to identify several different plate boundaries. Includes CER.
