About This Lesson
Teach your students about the properties of the four major layers of the earth with readily available materials and ones that they'll enjoy. Students need to know about the three states of matter: liquids,solids and gases. Once they do, the materials in this activity/lesson, for making a model of the layers of the earth, will help them understand what's under their feet.
