How green is the World Cup? Here's some ideas to make it greener so that the pitch needn't be the only thing green in soccer. With motion sensor lighting, ceedum roofs and clothing designed to mimic plants that repel mud and water to make them easier to clean its the environment that's winning. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: SL.6.2, SL.7.2, SL.8.2, SL.9-10.2

If your class is interested in sports, this is a nice twist to get them to see beyond just the play of the game.
