About This Lesson
- Engaging Congress is a free, fun, interactive game that uses primary source analysis to explore the basic tenets of representative government and the challenges they face in contemporary society. Students can analyze anywhere from a single primary source to all thirty while participating in a series of tasks, games, and assessments. In this 2 minute video, you will see how the game works and navigation of the teacher page. This education tool is perfect for in-person or remote learning. It is accessible through the Engaging Congress website or the various app stores. Topics covered in the interactive: separation of powers, federalism, states’ rights, the federal budget, voting rights, and influencing the political process
