About This Lesson
This packet has brief descriptions of the philosophies of Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Jean Jacques Rousseau, Mary Wollstonecraft, and Voltaire. There are some excerpts, but most of the text are my own summaries of their major theories. Students are then asked questions based on the philosophical ideas, and I usually have them discuss in small groups or as a whole class after each question.
These are really helpful materials. Nice work making the ideas clear and accessible to students.
