About This Lesson

Using this activity, students will identify the details and main idea in text. Students will record information in expository text by completing the provided graphic organizer. Possible extension activities and adaptations included. Common Core State Standards addressed: RI.2.2, RI.2.10, RI.3.2, RI.3.10. *This resource can be adapted for younger grades as well.
