About This Lesson
This lesson package walks students through understanding and exploring the issue of hunger in their local community, raising awareness about this issue and developing an action plan to address it.
Students will follow a service learning approach to learning about hunger and be encouraged to take action to raise awareness and material support for local food programs and initiatives. They will develop an understanding of how their actions can have a positive impact on those experiencing issues with food accessibility within their school and their local community.
