This class is studying the thematically related historical fiction text "Chains" and a non-fiction memoir, "A Young Patriot". In this lesson students are finding illustrative evidence from "Chains" and connecting the evidence to a quote. The student reading levels in this class range from second grade to sixth grade. There are two teachers present in each ELA lesson. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: W.6.1, W.6.9
