This unit is written for 5th grade science students but can easily be modified to accommodate the needs of most upper elementary and middle school students. Prior to the FlowWorks visit, students will study concepts related to boat design and prepare for the experiment they will conduct in FlowWorks. After returning from the FlowWorks exhibit, students will analyze the data gathered in FlowWorks and use it to create boats to be raced in the Classroom Regatta. Aligned with Common Core Standards: SL.5.1 , SL.5.4
