About This Lesson
A high level overview of the most famous Irish Legends starting with an Ancient Goddess moving through the 5th Century. Learn where Ireland's faerys come from, how Giants Causeway was created, why swans are protected in Ireland and much more.
Included are: three presentations (teachers notes, audio/visual, handout); activities including individual, small group, entire class, and range from 20-30 minutes to long term activities; student handouts that support the activities; teacher supplemental that support the activities.

Time range: 30 minutes - 2 hours
This is a very flexible module that allows the teacher to fit in with their schedule and needs. The presentation can stand alone, or be partnered with student activities which can be 20-30 minutes, several hours, or even a month or more for a group project.
The Activities Guide includes icons where the activity includes: Math, Science, Geography, Writing, History, Research, Art, Music, Presenting, Vocabulary, Active, and Analysis.
Before getting started, take a few minutes to read the "Read Me First" file. It will explain the entire process and the flexibility of the education module.
With the students, start with the presentation where you can read or have students take turns commentating. You can also utilize the narrated slide show which lasts about 10 minutes. The teachers' notes section includes additional information you can ask the students about or be prepared in case they ask you! Set aside between 20 -30 minutes for the presentation.
There are a variety of activities to choose from for students to participate in. Some activities are individual which can be done in the classroom or taken as homework. Others have a group or presentation aspect. Supplemental material is included for many of the activities whether in handout form or additional information.
