About This Lesson

Use this lesson when teaching animal structures, adaptations, habitats, or animals of the Texas coast and Gulf.
Students will create a simple model of a Kemp's ridley sea turtle while learning about the turtle's shell, flippers, head, eyes,
and other external structures.
This lesson pairs well with Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle Life Cycle. The life cycle lesson focuses on how a Kemp's ridley grows
and changes, while this lesson focuses on the structures that help the turtle live and move in its marine environment.
