About This Lesson

The chapter is based on the foundation laid by the founder of the Khilji dynasty  in India in the sultanate period.It was Jalaluddin Khilji in 1290, this was the Khilji Revolution.in 1296 Allauddin Khilji became the ruler and brought many reforms in his economy especially in the field of administration, military and commercial reforms. He was one of the most prominent rulers of the Khilji dynasty. He was succeeded by Qutbuddin Mubarak Shah who was later killed replaced by Khusrau. He was also later assassinated and replaced by the Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq; this event marked the end of the Khilji era in India and laid the foundations of Tughlaq dynasty in India in 1320.
