About This Lesson
This four class period lesson on the first presidency is intended for elementary or perhaps middle school students for the purpose of teaching them about George Washington as America's first president. It also introduces his first Cabinet and the ideas of what it takes to govern and what kinds of people work with the president to help carry out his duties.
