About This Lesson
4 roles: Zhu Di (Ming Emperor), Zhu Gaochi (Minister of War), Len Xiang (Minister of Agriculture), and Zheng He, (Admiral). Zhu Di decides whether to destroy or continue the fleet despite other problems (the Plague, floods, fixing the Grand Canal and Great Wall, controlling Korea and Vietnam). He hears arguments from the other roles (class divides into groups of 4, with each person being one of the roles). The ministers give speeches to Zhu Di, compile a list of the arguments made, and Zhu Di's then share their decisions with the class, who makes a list of the best arguments for and against.
