About This Lesson
A free monologue library for drama students choosing an audition piece or a class performance. Every monologue is printed in full from a public-domain play, with where it falls in the story, who the character is talking to, what they want in the speech and an estimated running time. Students can filter by gender, age range, tone and length, and each monologue links to a breakdown of the character and the show, so they can prepare the piece in context rather than in isolation.
