About This Lesson
Students are encouraged to use transition words and scientific vocabulary in their claim-evidence-reason arguments. The attached rubric is the NSTA CER rubric with an extra line added to include transition words and scientific vocabulary word. I've also added in color-coding of each section. The purpose of the color-coding is to make sure students clearly understand the parts to a well-written argument. It also enables me to give more precise feedback when analyzing their work.
