In this hands-on activity, students will study how magnets have different poles and how each different magnetic pole repels or attracts other poles. After this activity, students should be able to tell the difference between magnetic poles and, from this real-life model, learn how electrons and protons interact with one another and how they are attracted to one another inside an atom.
