About This Lesson
In response to school closures due to COVID-19, the Washington Teachers' Union has teamed up with Fox 5 Plus in order to deliver lessons to students directly from their television or computer. This high school lesson aired on April 17, 2020, and includes the following:
Part 1: ELA - This is the time for you to develop and test your predictions about the plot of Othello- and to learn the story of the play before they even read a whole scene. This unit is adapted from Folger materials as a pre-reading activity that includes opportunities for you to read the language independently, with a family member, or through a platform with your class and paves the way for a focus on understanding and enjoying Shakespeare’s words.
