About This Lesson
What most people know about Harriet Tubman is that she returned to the South 19 times to bring over 300 slaves to freedom. However, much less is known about her role as a nurse, a spy and a soldier with the Union forces during the Civil War. The video included below provides a brief lesson on the various roles that she served in during the Civil War.
