This is a second grade Math Unit, Lesson 14 out of 15. Reasoning with Shapes and their Attributes - Fractions of Shapes Day 3. In this lesson, students use methods from previous lessons to prove that equal parts of different shapes are equal. This lesson provides students with a variety of shapes divided into four parts, so that students can focus on proving if the parts are equal sizes regardless of their shape within identical wholes. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: 2.G.3 , MP.1 , MP.3 , MP.5
