This is a lesson plan I developed that teams up with the book "Grandfather Tang’s Story” by Ann Tompet. Students work to create the animals in the story while you read it. After the story and once students are familiar with the tangram pieces, you can challenge them with the questions I have written in the lesson plan. Some of these are very challenging and are even difficult for adults!
