About This Lesson

Taking inspiration from popular culture, fairy tales, and gothic traditions, Tim Burton has reinvented Hollywood genre filmmaking as an expression of a personal vision. A portion of his works are featured in this curriculum, which highlight key concepts in the artist’s body of work as well as address the larger implications of what it means to be an artist today. These activities can be easily adapted to students in grades 6 through 12.
