Edward Foley, director of the election law program at the Ohio State University, explained the process that will take place on January 6, 2021 when Congress meets in a joint session to count the electoral votes for president. He discussed the Hayes-Tilden election of 1876, Electoral Count Act and the role of the vice president in this process. He also spoke about what to expect during the joint session.
