About This Lesson
A free printable activity sheet and a short illustrated guide that explain computer bugs to children ages 8 to 12 in plain language.
Students learn that a program is an exact list of steps, that a bug is a mistake in those steps, that computers follow instructions exactly as written, what debugging is, and why apps and games ask you to update.
The sheet includes finding the bug in three small programs, debugging one of them, and writing your own program for brushing your teeth. Answers are included. It works for classroom, homeschool, or home use.
