About This Lesson
A free teacher’s guide with six ready-to-teach lessons that explain the Internet, computers, and artificial intelligence to students in grades 3 to 6 (ages 8 to 12).
The lessons cover how the Internet works, Wi-Fi and routers, passwords and staying safe online, what is inside a computer, algorithms and bugs, and AI and chatbots. Each lesson takes about 35 minutes: a warm-up question, a short reading together, a printable activity sheet, and a quick discussion with an exit ticket.
No student devices are needed. You can project the readings or print them. The lessons work in any order, on their own or as a six-part unit, and the activity sheets come with answers. A free online quiz with three short rounds is also available to check what students have learned.
