A free printable activity sheet and a short illustrated guide that explain AI chatbots to children ages 8 to 12 in plain language.
Students learn that a chatbot is built on a language model, that it writes its reply one small piece (a token) at a time, why it can sound sure and still be wrong, and how to use it safely by checking important answers and keeping personal details private.
The sheet includes a next-word guessing game, deciding which answers are worth checking, and practicing three good questions to ask. Answers are included. It works for classroom, homeschool, or home use.
