About This Lesson
This is a short story written by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. It is about a housewife who wakes up and realizes she is within a man's body. She/he then goes through her morning as a man, experiencing how great it is. The assignment has students locate these parts of the story where the dichotomy between men and women are revealed, and then write a dialogue between the woman and her husband.
