About This Lesson

Students respond well to knowing exactly what is expected of them on writing tasks, and having repeated practice to hone their skills. Providing them with a familiar rubric helps them practice independent editing/proofreading and also collaborative learning as they develop proficiency in writing. These scaffolded lessons develop the skill of summarizing/retelling stories in either books, shows, or movies.
