About This Lesson

This is a year-long progression of writing papers with rubrics that have been specifically designed to guide students to meet CCSS 1.TTP.2: “Write opinion pieces in which they introduce the topic or name the book they are writing about, state an opinion, supply a reason for the opinion, and provide some sense of closure.” The corresponding lessons are scaffolded with this standard as the goal.
