About This Lesson
A free printable activity sheet and a short illustrated guide that explain the cloud to children ages 8 to 12 in plain language.
Students learn that the cloud is made of computers called servers kept in buildings called data centers, what happens when a file is saved to the cloud and opened again later, and why cloud files need an Internet connection and a strong password.
The sheet includes sorting what lives on the device and what lives in the cloud, fill in the blanks, and a cloud detective activity to do at home. Answers are included. It works for classroom, homeschool, or home use.
