About This Lesson
The following unit is designed specifically for 5th grade physical education in alignment with the Physical Education Model Content Standards for California Public Schools. Multiple standards are learned and practiced through basketball related activities. Throughout the unit students will learn and demonstrate their knowledge in basketball related content and knowledge of demands of participating in sports in general. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of basketball and progress to the level of participating in official style basketball games.
