About This Lesson

Students will identify the important details from folktales and fairytales from around the world. Using the information they have gleaned from the folktale or fairytale, the students will compare and contrast multiple versions of the same story. The stories that students will compare are The Three Little Pigs and Jack and the Beanstalk. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: RL.2.1, RL.2.2, RL.2.3, RL.2.5, RL.2.7, RL.2.9, W.2.1, SL.2.2, L.2.4

Great detailed lesson plans. Everything I need for gifted second graders to lead into our lessons on writing a fractured fairy tale. Thanks for sharing such an awesome plan. I love everything I see and can't wait to implement this lesson.
