About This Lesson
Explore the ecosystems of the northern Rocky Mountains alongside researchers from the Montana Institute on Ecosystems. The unit parallels real-world research and includes 5 standards-based, one-hour lessons that align with traditional National Standards and Common Core Standards Initiative. Filled with hands-on and inquiry-based activities, the lessons will guide your class through the biodiversity of various ecosystems while applying wildlife ecology research techniques to your own schoolyard. Also covers biodiversity, wildlife ecology, and climate change. Lessons can be used independently.
