About This Lesson

A free printable chart and worksheet on homeostasis and feedback loops. The chart names the parts of a feedback loop (stimulus, receptor, control center, effector, response), compares negative and positive feedback, and lays out 12 textbook examples with every part of each loop named: body temperature, blood glucose, blood pressure, blood calcium, water balance, carbon dioxide, red blood cell production, childbirth, blood clotting and breastfeeding. The worksheet has students fill in three loops, sort the examples as negative or positive, and put the overheating loop in order; the answers are on the chart page. A QR code on the worksheet opens a free quiz on a 3D body. The online version, with an ordering game and two fill-in rounds: https://humanome.co/homeostasis-feedback-loops?utm_source=sharemylesson…
