How Educators Can Champion a Culture of Academic Integrity
Join Lisa LaBrake, Turnitin and Share My Lesson for an informative webinar on academic integrity in your institution.
Wednesday, March 24, 2021
Now Available on Demand
Teacher Lisa LaBrake will share her story of how she's been working to champion a culture of academic integrity, and how you can apply what she's learned to elevate conversations about academic integrity within your institutions. LaBrake, an English Teacher at Sweet Home High School in upstate New York, has focused on both setting clear expectations with the students in her class and on advocacy among her fellow faculty members and with the administration to develop formal honor codes and policy changes.
Session participants will join Lisa in a review of Academic Integrity policies from multiple organizations, focusing on key ideas they might seek to bring to their own district. Participants will openly discuss how to navigate the challenges and hurdles that frequently face change agents and ultimately how Academic Integrity policies can change academic culture and support students as they become more independent learners and original thinkers.
Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.
Share My Lesson is now a New York State Education Department-approved provider for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements. Step 1: Upon completion of the Share My Lesson webinar, download your PD certificate of completion. Step 2: Complete CTLE certificate. Step 3: Send both your CTLE certificate AND Share My Lesson PD certificate of completion to [email protected].
