Students will learn the meaning of the phrase, "aesthetically pleasing" as the rate structures found in the powerpoint using a simple scale. This lesson is linked to an engineering challenge where students have to build a structure (using specific constraints) that is aesthetically pleasing and can withstand the wind (a blow dryer) or a load (any form of weight) for a specified period of time.
