Students visited the Louis Armstrong House in Corona, Queens and then created a JAZZ POSTER. Students captured the era of Jazz by incorporating graphics and typography using collage and printmaking. This lesson integrates Social Studies and art. One specific student created an amazing poster that won PS art and is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and was also selected to appear on the jumbotron in Duffy Square (near Times Square).
