The Life of Thomas Paine Productions – Lesson Six

Arriving home does not go well. More people hate him than love him, the man who inspired the American Revolution! But it doesn’t stop him, he goes on writing, challenging the powers that be, the eternal troublemaker. He is getting old but no less fiery and feisty. He is sometimes guest of honor at dinners, sometimes refused a tankard of beer in a tavern. At least Jefferson counts him as a friend, and at the end he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has stayed true to himself. What is your opinion of him and the way that he lived his life?
