About This Lesson
In this phonics video lesson, students practice writing the letter r while learning the sound that it makes. They also preview the multi-letter phonogram rh. Then, they write a passage from the nursery rhyme, “Ring Around the Rosie.”
It is fun to see this lesson build on the Story Hour Academy lessons that came before it. When kids write down the "Ring Around the Rosie" poem, they get a reminder of many other consonant letter names and sounds that they've already learned.
