About This Lesson

Discusses the Nazi ideology and how it developed into the Holocaust. Begins with Goebbels and propaganda posters that offer a look at how the Jews were portrayed before the Holocaust. The presentation progresses to include Hitler's Euthanasia program (mostly images, explanations will be needed) and the mobile killing units (including brief silent video clip of an execution). From there, the Holocaust is discussed (ghettos, work camps and death camps). Short 2-3 min videos are included of survivors telling their stories for each section.

An excellent presentation on a tragic time in world history. As an additional resource, teachers may want to have their classes listen to my song "6,000,000," or read its lyric sheet as a poem. Both resources are available under my name, Hank Fellows, on the "Share My Lesson" website.
