About This Lesson

Students use a jungle adventure senario to determine the likely hood that when they place key stones into a 3 stone locking system, they will trigger a trap.

This project serves as an suppliment to introducing permutations and combinations. Students list out all possible outcomes that can occur when placing 4 stones into 3 slots. Students then look at how permutation notation and combination notation is related to their listing work. The project requires supplimental lessons on permutations and combinations for student success.
