About This Lesson

November 15 is America Recycles Day, a great time to engage your class in learning about the importance of reducing waste and making more sustainable choices. Turn this opportunity into a teachable moment with lessons that put those choices directly in students’ hands. Students learn why paper is one of the most recycled resources on the planet, and how recycling paper and cardboard products helps protect the environment, with standards-aligned activities designed to build critical thinking, research, and math skills.
