Teaching numbers is made fun with this lesson! Following this lesson, the learner will be able to represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-5.
The teacher will call for the attention of the students and ask them to sit quietly in a circle on the floor. The teacher will then read the book Ten Black Dots by Donald Crews. When finished reading the story, the teacher will ask the students to share with her what the book was about. The teacher will prompt the students to say that the book was about numbers and counting to ten. The teacher will then tell the class that today, they are going to learn how to write numbers up to five.
