Students will play classic battleship. To sink a ship, students will need to solve and get the answer correct. Students will need to choose the best method to find the point of intersection (substitution, elimination, or graphing and word problems of linear equations). In the file there is a Partner A board, Partner B board, word problems, and blank graphs.

Solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable, including equations with coefficients represented by letters.
Solve real-world and mathematical problems leading to two linear equations in two variables.
Prove that, given a system of two equations in two variables, replacing one equation by the sum of that equation and a multiple of the other produces a system with the same solutions.
Solve systems of two linear equations in two variables algebraically, and estimate solutions by graphing the equations. Solve simple cases by inspection.
Solve real-world and mathematical problems involving the four operations with rational numbers.
Solve systems of linear equations exactly and approximately (e.g., with graphs), focusing on pairs of linear equations in two variables.
