We are working on "How to Train Your Dragon" and have adapted problems to fit the theme. Aligned with Common Core Standard: 4.MD.1 Measurement and Data: Solve problems involving measurement and conversion of measurements from a larger unit to a smaller unit, 5.OA.1, 5.OA.2

Standards

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table.
Use parentheses, brackets, or braces in numerical expressions, and evaluate expressions with these symbols.
Write simple expressions that record calculations with numbers, and interpret numerical expressions without evaluating them.
