About This Lesson
Girl Rising uses the power of storytelling to change the way the world values girls and their education and to ignite change. In this activity – through the stories of Senna, Azmera, and Ruksana – students will learn about how family support is critical for girls having the opportunity to access education and independence. It is structured so students can demonstrate their understanding of the content and reflect on what they learned as well as make connections to their own life experiences.
This lesson is part of a collection of topics on Share My Lesson from Girl Rising that work in conjunction with each other.
