They will develop an understanding of how contrasting perspectives create conflict in life and literature and how literary techniques are used to convey meaning as they perform analysis of literary devices in a variety of texts and present a thematic analysis to the class using a visual aid.CCSS: RL.9-10.1, RI.9-10.1, W.9-10.2, SL.9-10.1, L.9-10.1 & more

The additional resources involved in this unit are excellent. There are great ideas for pulling in non-fiction and different media elements, making this perfect for adhering to the common core.
