This is a fun, interactive project-based lesson that teaches children how to acquire social skills and build self-esteem through modeling literary characters. While this is an excerpt from a 15 lesson program, I believe that teachers will be able to create a foundational program that will launch the child into a better appreciation of themselves and others!
This lesson includes cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills as it helps a child feel good about their own character, traits and abilities through the creation of a "What I Like About Me!" poster. This activity can be adapted for a child or a group of children.
