About This Lesson

Students classify themselves into different groups based on observable characteristics of clothing and accessories, then apply to biological classification systems.

  •  Students will classify themselves into different groups based on observable characteristics of clothing and/or accessories. 
  • Students will practice observation skills by looking for similarities and differences of each group. 
  • Students will apply their understanding of classification to organisms.

This lesson is great for preparing students for BioBlitz or species inventory activities.
